Happy New Year to all TeaLife hosts. Thank you for continuing the podcasts. I enjoy sitting around listening to you talk tea. Thank you also for Anthony’s perspective as a beginner as sometimes I forget what it is like to be a beginner in tea. I just wanted to say that I also rotate dogu according to the season and what temae we are studying at the moment. My dogu storage situation is similar to others in that I have a dogu closet. My husband built floor to ceiling shelves on two sides as well as in the middle of the linen closet in the hallway so I can store more dogu there. My students and I are in the middle of cataloging and organizing it so people can go in and find things in there. I try to store everything in boxes. If the utensil does not have a wooden box, I try to find a cardboard box or make a cardboard box to store it for protection. I am looking forward to the next podcast
Thank you, it means a lot to us to get this kind of feedback. Please, do not hesitate to send us suggestions on what we can improve too.
Congratulations on completing the first year, and don’t stop. It’s become such a highlight to look forward to Saturday mornings. As someone who is quite inexperienced in tea and part of a very small community of tea practitioners in New Zealand, it’s been great to feel connected to a wider tea community and I’ve also learnt a lot. Thank you.
For us in NZ it’s summer, so it’s furo season and we’re getting ready for our first tea event which is next week (after everyone is back from summer holidays).
Looking forward to it and more interesting TealLife episodes this year.
Thank you for your kind words. It is inspiring to know that the work is appreciated.
I’ve just recently found your podcast and have been enjoying catching up very much, starting from the beginning. Thank you for creating this content and also for providing this forum for exchange and dialogue surrounding it. I am not sure where/how to post this, but thought you and your readers/listeners might be interested to know about a conference on chanoyu and tea culture taking place on May 1 in San Francisco: the third Ocha Zanmai conference 2016. I’ve posted some information here: http://tinyurl.com/ochazanmai I look forward to following the discussions and sharing more tea-related news with an ever-widening community, thanks to your efforts.
Thank you for your feedback. We will try to mention the conference in episode 28, and post links in the show notes. If you have more information about the conference or the people arranging it would be great.
Thank you! I am sure the organizers will appreciate it. I have passed some information on to Naomi via email. Please let me know if you have any further questions about it.
